Every prompt typed into a generative AI tool leaves the user’s control. It goes to the provider’s servers, it may be stored for years, it may be read by human reviewers, and it can be pulled into litigation. This lecture describes the current state of AI & Data Privacy Law for individuals and organizations. The primary focus will be on safe use of generative AI and vendor terms. There will also be a discussion on legal privilege and AI.
